About Us

A Brief History of The Trust

Registered in the Royal Court in January 1996 as a non-profit making organisation, the CTJ Housing Trust has grown from small beginnings to currently owning more than 143 properties in five island locations.

The appointment of the Trustees is made by CTJ and confirmed by the States of Jersey Housing Minister.

Funding for projects is provided by our bankers on a commercial basis. The money is borrowed over a period of 25 years. We receive a subsidy from the States relating to the interest rates payable by the Trust. For further financial information, please see the latest set of accounts available to download under the Annual Report and Accounts heading.

We aim to act at all times in a fair and compassionate manner, but are mindful too that we have to repay the loans from the banks that have allowed us to acquire, build or refurbish our properties.
